Downton Abbey Christmas special 2013: Cast bizarrely head to the beach for festive episode



New photos of the Downton Abbey Christmas special have landed and, bizarrely, they’re off to the beach.

This year’s festive episode rejoins the Crawley family and their servants six months on from the end of series four and there’s not a pair of mittens in sight.

The two-hour special sees the lot of them up head to their previously unseen London residence, Grantham House, as they prepare to present Rose to the king and queen at Buckingham Palace as part of her ‘coming out’.

And Cora’s mother, Martha Levinson, is back from New York and this time she’s brought her nightmarish son Harold – and both make quite an impression with London’s high rollers.
